At 3:00 PM on March 22, 2014, "Elegance and Charm -- Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Zhu Ying" was opened on the art Gallery of West Lake, Landscape and Culture in Huanglong Hotel, Hangzhou, which is the thirty-third exhibition held by Hanyang Art Center on the art gallery.
Zhu Yingren is 85 years old this year, but she is still full of energy and keeps writing. His personality and works are the same, calm and peaceful, elegant charm contains the bone. He was a disciple of Wu Rezhi, a master of Traditional Chinese painting, and had been carefully taught by Pan Tianshou. His Chinese paintings have the traditional and classical implication of ink and wash, and at the same time are full of fresh and upward vitality. Spring orchid, autumn chrysanthemum, clear spring, squirrel with simple posture can bow, insect jumping in the grass...... Always the most vivid protagonist in his painting.
The overall style of Mr. Zhu's painting is integrated with human beings -- gentle and gentle, easy to approach, not pretending to be surprising, not sensationalism, light and mellow, quiet and profound, appreciating both refined and popular tastes, winning by rhyme. No matter the picture is clear, refined or dignified, honest, there is always a kind of chuang Zheng. This zhuangzheng spirit is not like Wu Changshuo's bone and old, and is different from Wu Cainzhi's elegant show, but it also has the inherent character of the two old people. To be natural, to be spontaneous, to be interesting.
A total of 31 masterpieces of Zhu Yingren's calligraphy and paintings will be on display until May 10.

Nanshan Road, white walls and black tiles of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts courtyard, living Chinese painting professor Zhu Yingren professional flower and bird teacher. The old gentleman is 85 years old this year, but he is still in high spirits and keeps on writing. His personality and works are the same, calm and peaceful, elegant charm contains the bone.
Zhu Yingren is a disciple of Wu Rezhi, a master of Traditional Chinese painting, and was carefully taught by Pan Tianshou. Early painting oil painting, teaching in school after accepting arrangements for transfer to traditional Chinese painting. Since Mr. Zhu had learned Chinese painting since he was a child, his Chinese painting from the very beginning has the traditional and classical implication of ink and wash, and at the same time is full of fresh and upward vitality. After the reform and opening up, Mr. Zhu Yingren assisted Mr. Lu Yingfei in recruiting and training the first batch of graduate students of China Academy of Fine Arts. He was one of the few teachers of that generation to participate in the teaching process from the affiliated middle school of the Academy of Fine Arts, to the undergraduate students, all the way to the graduate students. He is a modest gentleman, gentle and sincere, weak in speech, but generations of students have been a good teacher. Famous Chinese painters such as Liu Wenxi, Zhang Lichen, Min Xuelin, He Shuifa and Gu Zhenyan were all students of Mr. Zhu.
Excellent works by famous teachers, I immediately have the idea of inviting Teacher Zhu Yingren to huanglong Hotel art gallery exhibition. One day in the late autumn of 2013, Without recommendation, I asked for the specific address of Mr. Zhu's house from the reception room of the courtyard and couldn't wait to knock on the door (now in retrospect, I think it was really a little rash). When she opened the door, she looked surprised and asked me to come in with a smile. The room is not big, Mr. Zhu was standing in the studio facing the door, gentle eyes let me originally some uneasy heart suddenly calm down. Mr. Zhu asked me carefully about the situation there and felt that it was ok. He proposed to go to see the exhibition hall in person. I was also very happy. In the following months, Mr. Zhu came to the Huanglong Hotel three times and asked me about the exhibition. The old gentleman is very serious and rigorous about people and things. After New Year's Day in 2014, I received a phone call from Mr. Zhu again, asking me to go to his home to see his works. This time, I observed his studio carefully. The light of the studio is very good, the tiny dust in the sunshine jumps and dances, brings a quiet good years. The huge painting table is crowded with books and painting utensils, which have been used for many years. Although the painting utensils are old, they are neat and orderly, and there are many books, but they are neatly classified. Mr. Zhu took out a stack of drawings, which were square by square, and said with a smile, "There are twenty pictures and a few pieces of calligraphy. Would you like to see if they are ok?" With a little excitement, I went through each piece carefully. Each piece was new. No matter the picture is clear, refined or dignified, honest, there is always a kind of chuang Zheng. This zhuangzheng spirit is not like Wu Changshuo's bone and old, and is different from Wu Cainzhi's elegant show, but it also has the inherent character of the two old people. To be natural, to be spontaneous, to be interesting. I watched it carefully, and when I saw the pictures I liked, I stayed for a longer time. Mr. Zhu said, "You don't care about my feelings. You just have to choose from the perspective of the exhibition." I was again touched by the old gentleman's gentleness and humility. As an artist of the older generation, his culture of humanity, personality and art are consistent.
As the exhibition is about to begin, I hereby write this preface based on my simple understanding of Zhu Yingren and my naive brushwork. I hope that the audience can feel the artistic spirit of the old gentleman while appreciating the paintings. I wish Miss Zhu's art flowers to be gorgeous and art life to be evergreen.
