1930 Born in Changshu, Jiangsu province. He graduated from the former Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1952 and taught there. He was a disciple of Mr. Wu Naizhi and was personally taught by Mr. Pan Tianshou. He is now a professor of China Academy of Fine Arts, postgraduate supervisor, member of Chinese Artists Association, executive director of Pan Tianshou Foundation, vice President of Wu Na's Art Research Association, member of Xiling Printing Society.
