He was born in 1963 in Nanchang, Jiangxi province
In 1985, he graduated from the Technology Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Fine Arts) with a bachelor's degree
He is now the dean and professor of the School of Media animation of China Academy of Fine Arts, the deputy director of Zhejiang Art Museum, and the deputy director of the Ceramic Art Committee of The Chinese Artists Association
He is a famous contemporary ceramist. He has been a judge of the 10th National Art Exhibition. He has participated in and planned the biennale of the works of all Chinese contemporary young ceramists.
